Wall Street Source

Wall Street Source, Inc. is a financial technology company that provides news and research for professionals in the financial services, media, and corporate markets. The company delivers a broad range of news and financial information via a single, integrated, web-based platform.

Dan and his San Francisco-based boutique agency, Sp3d, designed and built Wall Street Source’s website and product interface, focused on streaming, realtime financial data in multiple HTML frames. Dan also designed many different promotional campaigns for use on the mar-com website as well as in print.

TechCU

Technology Credit Union is a Bay Area-based credit union that serves the high tech workforce and its ecosystem in Silicon Valley, with more than $1.7 billion in assets.

Dan and his San Francisco-based boutique agency, Sp3d, designed and built TechCU’s website, focused on customer support and ease-of-use. Dan also designed many different promotional campaigns for use on the website as well as in print.

A Poke In The Ear

OSC Software was a San Francisco-based software company that produced Deck II, an early digital multitrack audio recording and mixing application. OSC produced and sold CD-ROMs of audio sample libraries. OSC’s brand was based on the music industry, with a rock-and-roll edge.

Dan worked directly with the director of marketing at OSC to create packaging that was edgy and “beat up” for the sound library called A Poke In The Ear.

Deborah Pardes CD Packaging

Dan worked with Deborah Pardes on designing the CD packaging for her new music album. She provided a photo of herself and asked that it appear animated and active. The front cover was Dan’s interpretation.

Digital Dysfunctions

Digital Dysfunctions is a sound library created by Chris Grigg, who is best known as a member of Negativland. The Digital Dysfunctions sound library was based on the idea that digital processing makes it possible to absolutely murder sound in lots of new, complex, grating, harsh, organic, electronic, alien, unpredictable ways.

Dan worked directly with Chris to create innovative artwork for the CD packaging that gave a visual indication of “murdering sound”, by “live scanning” an old oscilloscope.

 

Kid Scoop

Kid Scoop enables children to express their basic desire to know about, and become active participants in their local community. Kid Scoop enlists the active use of the community newspaper in the classroom to accomplish its mission. The program features an in-paper section for and by children, as well as a unique team approach that involves newspapers, schools, and community supporters.

Dan and his San Francisco-based boutique agency, Sp3d, redesigned KidScoop’s website so that it more seamlessly dovetailed with the brand’s newspaper-based publications.
